What is Window Display: Types
There are different kind of window display in retail stores. Brands use Window as per their store’s visibility & location. It’s very important to know about that what is Window display in retail.
- Closed window– The window looks like a small room facing the customers from the road. It consists of glass in the front and covered at the back. closed window displays have walls or screens behind setups. These walls can be temporary backdrop, screen, or any kind of thematic props to enhance overall installation.
- Semi closed window– Such kind of window consist of glass panel at the front, and they are semi-covered at the back side. Customers can see some parts of store from outside.
- Open windows –In open window displays, there are no walls behind the display. Customers can see directly through it and into the store beyond.
- Showcase windows– As it name describes Showcase window, They are small windows which is installed on customer’s eye level, so that customers can check products and call outs closely. generally such windows are used for smaller merchandise like watches, jewelry, accessories, sunglasses etc.
- Elevated windows – Such windows are placed at higher level which are either closed or open. Elevated window displays always located above ground level. They are a popular among cosmetics and luxury items as these tend to be smaller and therefore easier to overlook. By elevating products to eye level and illuminating them with strategic lighting, retailers can make sure that they catch the attention of passers-by.
- Corner windows – Corner windows are placed at the corner of the store which is visible from two directions. Such windows are located at the corner of a store. People can view products from two sides.
